Prestige was engaged to restore the extensive natural marble floors that had become dull and worn, losing their professional lustre.
The Challenge
As the primary entrance and reception area, the marble floor is subject to heavy daily footfall. Over time, micro-scratches and “traffic lanes” had etched into the stone, making the surface appear cloudy and preventing light from reflecting evenly. Standard cleaning was no longer effective; the stone required a deep-level mechanical restoration to bring back its signature mirror finish.
The Solution: Multi-Stage Diamond Restoration
Our stone technicians implemented a multi-stage diamond grinding and polishing process. We began with lower-grit diamond pads to “resurface” the stone, removing the layer of scratches and etching. We then progressed through finer polishing stages to tighten the pores of the marble, finishing with a high-speed buffing process. This mechanical approach creates a natural shine without the need for topical waxes or coatings that can peel or yellow over time.
