Trading Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

1.1 In these Terms and Conditions:

  • The Company / We / Us means Prestige Carpet Care Ltd.
  • Cleaner / Cleaning Operative means any person carrying out services on behalf of the Company.
  • Client means the individual, firm, or corporate body purchasing services from the Company.
  • Client’s Address means the location at which services are to be carried out.
  • Service means any cleaning or related service supplied by the Company.
  • Cleaning Visit means the Company’s attendance at the Client’s Address to carry out the Service.

1.2 References to the singular include the plural and vice versa.

1.3 Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.


2. Contract

2.1 These Terms constitute a binding contract between the Company and the Client.

2.2 The Client confirms that placing an order by telephone, email, website form, or in person constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

2.3 These Terms shall prevail over any other terms proposed by the Client unless expressly agreed in writing by a Company director.

2.4 No variation of these Terms shall be valid unless confirmed in writing by a Company director.


3. Quotations & Pricing

3.1 Carpet cleaning is charged per square metre, taking into account fibre type, construction, condition, access, and site conditions. Where applicable, a site consultation will be carried out prior to confirming a final price.

3.2 Telephone or email quotations are estimates only. A final price will be confirmed on site prior to commencement of works.

3.3 Upholstery and leather cleaning are charged per item or per seated area, based on fabric type, soiling, and anticipated cleaning time.

3.4 Hard floor cleaning is charged per square metre and subject to surface testing and access considerations.

3.5 Leather repair and restoration works are priced following inspection and assessment. No fixed pricing applies to these services.

3.6 All quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

3.7 The Company reserves the right to revise quotations where the Client’s requirements or site conditions differ materially from those originally described.


4. Equipment & Access

4.1 The Company will supply all standard cleaning equipment and materials required to carry out the Service.

4.2 The Client must provide reasonable access, running water, electricity, and lighting at the Client’s Address.


5. Payment Terms

5.1 The Company reserves the right to request a deposit of up to 20% at the time of booking.

5.2 Unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to commencement, the balance is due immediately upon completion of the Service.

5.3 Where written credit terms have been agreed in advance, payment must be made within 30 days of the invoice date.

5.4 No deductions, retentions, or set-offs may be made against any invoice.

5.5 Overdue accounts may incur a £30 administration fee plus reasonable recovery costs.

5.6 Interest may be charged on overdue balances at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate.


6. Cancellation & Rescheduling

6.1 The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking with at least 24 hours’ notice.

6.2 Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a charge of £20 or up to 40% of the service value.

6.3 Failure to provide access on arrival or cancellation within 2 hours of the scheduled start time will result in full charge.


7. Complaints & Rectification

7.1 Any concerns must be reported within 48 hours of completion.

7.2 The Client agrees to allow the Company the opportunity to re-attend and rectify any issues before engaging third parties.


8. Liability & Limitations

8.1 The Company shall not be liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage, permanent staining, wear, or colour loss
  • Shrinkage, rippling, or texture changes due to carpet construction or fitting
  • Odours caused by environmental or ventilation factors
  • Damage caused by premature use of carpets

8.2 The Company’s liability is limited to the reasonable cost of rectifying the affected area.


9. Guarantee

9.1 If the Client is dissatisfied, the Company will re-clean affected areas free of charge, subject to notification within 24 hours.


10. Insurance

10.1 The Company holds Public Liability Insurance including Treatment Risk cover. All claims are subject to policy terms and excess.


11. General

11.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

11.2 The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 is excluded.
