The Overview
Prestige was contracted by M7 Real Estate at their Monument, London offices to restore their specialist Bolon flooring. Woven vinyl flooring like Bolon requires a highly specific maintenance regime to prevent soil build-up within the weave, an issue that had become a significant aesthetic concern for the client.
The Challenge
The previous in-house cleaning attempts had utilized incorrect chemistry and agitation methods, resulting in “streaky” residues and dirt becoming trapped deep within the woven fibres. The floor had lost its original vibrancy, and the client was concerned that a total replacement—costing tens of thousands of pounds—was the only remaining option.
The Solution: Technical Woven-Vinyl Extraction
Utilizing our specialized knowledge of woven vinyl, we deployed a multi-stage restorative process. This involved the use of pH-neutral cleaning agents designed to break down greasy residues without damaging the vinyl strands, followed by mechanical agitation and high-airflow extraction. This process successfully “lifted” the trapped contaminants from the weave without over-wetting the subfloor.
The Result
The Bolon flooring was fully restored to its original “Day One” appearance, successfully removing all streaks and embedded soiling. By choosing a technical restoration over replacement, M7 Real Estate avoided significant capital expenditure and minimized environmental waste, while ensuring their London headquarters remained a high-spec environment for clients and staff.
