The Challenge: Maintaining a 24/7 High-Traffic London HQ

As the London headquarters for one of the UK’s leading energy providers, the Octopus Energy office on Oxford Street requires 24/7 operational access. With 4,600 m² of high-traffic carpet tiles, the flooring had begun to show significant “traffic lane greying” and localised tea and coffee staining.

The primary challenge was finding a commercial carpet cleaning solution that avoided the pitfalls of traditional “wet” extraction. In a busy office environment, extended drying times create trip hazards and the risk of “wicking”—where deep-seated stains resurface as the carpet dries. Octopus Energy required a zero-downtime solution that wouldn’t obstruct fire exits or compromise building security.

The Solution: HOS Orbot & Very Low Moisture (VLM) Technology

Prestige implemented a strategic restoration using the HOS Orbot System. This hose-free, Very Low Moisture (VLM) process was the ideal choice for this scale. By working over two consecutive weekends, our team integrated seamlessly with the on-site skeleton staff.

The results were immediate. By utilising VLM technology, the original texture and aesthetic of the carpet tiles were fully reclaimed.
